Nashville recording artist Buck Ford focuses on keeping that authentic country sound mixed in with his modern style edginess. Buck's influences consist of George Strait, Merle Haggard, Mark Chesnutt, Daryle Singletary, and Keith Whiteley, just to name a few. Buck and his band pride themselves on the fact that their performances “bring back to life” that authentic country sound with an edgy modern new flavor.
This father-daughter duo are respectively the guitarist and one of the lead singers of the Nevada County funk-rock band, Elevation. We hope you enjoy this acoustic treat to your evening of Boots, Buck and Wild Rags!

The Mayo Ranch began in 1987 with the dream of a clean, safe and friendly environment to breed, train and board horses. Over the years we expanded the facility and became substantially involved with the Western Performance Horse world.
In 1998 we constructed an indoor arena and boarding stalls covering 45,000 square feet. This provided a venue for some of the founding members of the Western Performance world, including Bobby Ingersoll and Al Dunning (both in the Hall of Fame with dozens and dozens of world titles) among others, to provide clinics and seminars to help share their knowledge with our horse community.
Soon we became intimately aware of the need to have a process to both condition our horses and use innovation in the industry to help mitigate any down time from injuries by speeding up their recovery process.
In 2007, we acquired and installed an underwater treadmill therapy system called AquaPacer along with a Priefert, six horse computer controlled, panel walker…both critical to achieve our goals to condition and rehab horses. The AquaPacer, being one of the few in public use in the United States, provided services unavailable to almost all other Equine conditioning and rehab facilities.
We were now able to use the traditional methods of training, conditioning and care, passed down from some of the cornerstone breeders, trainers and competitors in combination with the latest innovations. We welcome all disciplines of riding and believe our traditional foundation and decades of experience can benefit any interested client.
Our approach is to provide a first-class facility to use and promote these values, while utilizing the latest innovations of the industry, is our primary directive.
Our dedication is to both the client and the horse. We understand the unique bond created between a horse and its owner. We want to make sure that we do everything possible to foster that bond and reach those goals.
We have in-house veterinary services and a staff dedicated to making your experience the best it can be.
We have been acutely aware of the need to give back to our community. We have put on numerous fund-raising events for a vast variety of organizations in our community.
We are the only licensed and county approved Equine facility in Nevada county. We take great pride in our commitment to being part of the fabric of our community and giving back to help others now and for future generations.
